Hi, I am Michael Arndt
My journey down the path of video began as I worked as a professional singer and dancer. I documented my travels around the world and fell in love with telling stories through photography and videography. I have since attained a BS in Animation and a MS in Instructional Design and Technology.
While producing and editing B2B marketing videos for corporate clients with an international research firm, I mastered my skills behind the camera and soon began filming weddings and documentaries to tell different types of stories. I approach each project with the customer in mind. Taking note of their interests, stories, and style, I make sure the final deliverable is a direct representation of them. The end result is never off the mark.
When I’m not creating content, I enjoy teaching and coaching our younger generation in AV, broadcasting and photography. My students learn the way of the industry through my instruction and knowledge I have gained throughout my career. As a result, many have started their own photo or video business and have clients prior to graduating high school.
Davinci Resolve
I use Davinci for most of my projects. In my experience, it has been more reliable in color, and stability than some of its competitors. The fact that it is also an all-in-one suite is also a huge bonus.
Adobe CC
Adobe Certified in Premiere, Photoshop and After Effects; this is the suite of software that I teach to high school students. The learning curve is not as steep and there are many benefits when it comes to integrating graphics with other applications like NewTek's Tricaster.
Adobe Captivate
This is used to create interactive learning opportunities for my students. I have designed software simulations and matching games to learn subjects like copyright laws.
Maya
I have used Maya to create 3D backdrops and scenes for live entertainment shows as well as mockup assembly line concepts.
